For 25 years, she has been searching for new solutions and treatments for women at all stages of life. She is the founder of the private diagnostic centre Strah-PCOS Clinic and provides expert care for all women’s health problems. Chief Physician Dr Darija Strah, specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in January 1994 and completed a 12-month internship and a secondary internship as a compulsory promotion in the following two years. She specialised in gynaecology and obstetrics at the Gynaecology Clinic in Ljubljana and at King’s College Hospital School in London under the supervision of Professor Kypros Nicolaides. Her specialist thesis Foetal Morphological Assessment in the Second Trimester, under the supervision of Dr Tončka Završnik, specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics, was the basis for the subsequent ultrasound training of the specialists and included the in-depth knowledge acquired during her stay in London, including the principles of ultrasound assessment of the foetal heart, which is considered to be one of the most important and difficult examinations of its kind. She passed her specialist examination with distinction on 8 May 2001.
From 2001 to 2008, she worked at the Domžale Health Centre as a specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics.
Since 2009, she has been working at the Strah Diagnostic Centre as the professional head of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit.
For her professional work and 20 years of active work, the Minister of Health, Mrs Milojka Kolar, awarded her the professional title of Chief Physician in 2015.
